Here's a test for you: the Finnish word for nose is nenä. Using the essive case and the first person posessive ending, can you produce the word that in Finnish means "as my nose"?
Answer: Counting A as 1, B as 2, and so on, the answer is 14,5,14,27,14,27,14,9

is it nenanina?
though I'm pronanly wrong... it sounds too weird
Close - it's nenanani. Case, then ownership. It does sound silly though.
oh okai I'll remember that.
thank you so much for doing this blog. Finnish is a tough language to learn, especially online and you explain everything so well.. you really make it easier to learn the language so thank you so much for that :)
I agree with shira about the value of your blog. The key word of my compliment is understandably. However regarding as my nose I believe that the finnish is nenä and thus we would have nenänäni. Do you dare comment on the suggestopedic method of teaching Finnish?
You are right - it is nenä and not nena - serves me right for typing this post on an English keyboard and not taking more care. And you've provided an inspiration for the next posting.
